Homecoming is almost here

The annual Pushmataha County Homecoming celebration, hosted by the Pushmataha County Chamber of Commerce, will take place Father's Day weekend, June 17th & 18th in Antlers, and plans are already underway to make it a great one!

This year's theme is "Patriotic - Red, White & Blue". Although preparations are moving forward nicely, the Chamber is still looking for vendors and artists.

Vendors needed include: food, arts and crafts, jewelry, informational booths, political booths, you name it! Vendors will be set up at FirstBank Park . Also at the park will be the dog pageant, hamburger sale, gospel singing and fish fry.

Artists, there will be another art show at the Chamber, June 18, from 12-Noon until 4 p.m. Forms are available at the chamber office and are due back by Thursday, June 16, 2022.

Along with the art show there will also be a silent auction at the Chamber. Make sure you plan to stop by the Chamber office on June 18th to bid on a variety of items.

The parade will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Anyone can enter the parade, but a signed form and number must be assigned to each entry.

Categories are: floats (a trailer being pulled by a vehicle) and other/misc (which includes all other entries). Lots of prize money is up for grabs, so start planning your float or entry! Forms are available on the website pushchamber.com, can be picked up from the mailbox at 212 North High Street by the door, or can be picked up at the Chamber office on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and each day the week before Homecoming.

Downtown Antlers will come alive Saturday night, June 18th, with the street dance and beer tent!

Other events being planned include: school receptions, pancake breakfast, turtle races, cow patty bingo, dunking booth and so much more!

If your class is having a reunion, please call the Chamber and give them your information so they can get it on the schedule and in publications. You can also feel free to email or call The Antlers American with reunion information to be ran in a special section up until Homecoming.
